What kind of Deck?
| A hardwood timber deck is one of the most popular value additions to a property both for its visual and structural appeal. Light weight softer timber does not last in our Australian climates and south Australia’s every changing weather. Being a natural material it shrinks and expands due to moisture and heat in the environment that it is placed often resulting and cracking, splitting, twisting or cupping. Hard woods natural material bonds are tighter and have less structural change with the weather. All our timber decks are fastened using Stainless steel fixings to resist rusting which will stain the deck, Cupping, twisting, bowing and to ensure that the fixing does not pop which may result in injury to occupants. | A composite Decking system is a unique option due to manufactures designs and profiles which often hid fixing points resulting in a neat clean finish. But like timber decking materials Composite materials have their negatives also. While a composite Deck requires little to no upkeep there outer layer can often become damaged and warn resulting in a tired looking deck over time that is hard to fix with out replacement unlike timber materials. The plastic composites can often become extremely hot in the summer and cause burning of the occupants feet if not aware. |
